Jim was a classmate friend for many years in the Delevan-Machias school in Delevan, which became Pioneer Central during our final year there in 1966-1967. One nickname he had was Weems, an affectionate one I have no idea how he got. Probably just a shortened version of his last name, something that kids like to do. I was unaware of his passing until learning about it on Facebook this October. He was always one of the good guys who never had bad things to say about others. He was also a tax accountant who operated his own shop in Yorkshire, N.Y. and for a time I know, had a residence at Twin Lakes Trailer Court. His parents had a farm just outside of Delevan to the south, just off of Route 16.
Actually the last time I saw him was at our 50 year reunion in Lime Lake in 2017 and I've included a picture of him there. While I know little about his passing, I do know that he was a valued member of our class and will be missed.
RIP Jim....
Respectfully,
